Alice Anne Abbott is one of our first brand ambassadors and hails from Lincolnshire. She trains hard six days a week whilst following a correct diet plan – allowing herself one day off to eat what she likes a week! She says her motivation for training hard is that you only get given one body and therefore you should look after it and show others your full potential.
In her own words
For my typical workout routine, I firstly would start stretching for 5-10 minutes followed with 2 light sets to warm up on the leg raise machine. Afterwards I head over to the squat rack, starting off with a warm up weight of 35kg for 10 reps 1 set, then up to 45kg for 8 reps and 2 sets, finally 50kg for 5 reps 2 sets. Next is the smiths machine straight legged deadlift, 35kg 10 reps 3 sets, followed by single legged lunges holding two 10kg weights for 12 reps per leg for 2 sets. After that I do sumo deadlifts at 62.5kg 6 reps for 3 sets, then cable donkey kicks at 30kg, 12 reps each leg for 3 sets. Finally, I do leg raises, 1 set of 12 reps at 25kg, 1 set of 8 at 35kg then 1 set of 5 reps at 45kg.
To finish off my routine I do 12-30 minutes of ab exercises. Extra equipment that helps me train includes
weightlifting gloves and
wrist straps. Extra supplements I use are whey protein,
creatine, pre workout and vitamins. I’ve not entered any competitions yet but possibly in the future!
