Take a look inside the world's most expensive gym
Located in Belgrade, Serbia, and designed by 4of7 the Wellness Sky has become known as the world's most expensive gym. Spanning an impressive 1100 sqm and looking spectacular, the gym's average membership costs sits at around £30,000 a year. The original building was created 35 years ago and was designed to be a landmark of the Belgrade waterfront.  It used to be the home of a very exclusive restaurant which was a part of the recreational centre which was accessible to the public. The original design was created by the communist government and was supported by the President at the time, J.B.Tito. For a period of fifteen years the building was inactive and unused, so had deteriorated considerably. That was until it was converted into a health and fitness club.   With a whole host of views from its impressive structure, you could probably charge people just to enter the building! The fitness centre is known worldwide for its attention to detail and it's impressive body balance programmes. These unique classes combine yoga, pilates and tai-chi together into one intensive but highly effective full-body workout which is guaranteed to bring excellent results. Membership costs are the catch though. For all this excellent treatment and exclusive access to the unique gym and its classes, you will have to fork out £30,000 a year for a membership. For that sort of money, you would be after results!   The main volume of the building is elevated fifteen metres above the ground level and the river that neighbours the gym itself. The building is supported by two central columns which both contain lift shafts which bring visitors from the ground up to the gym itself. Thankfully there are no stairs, we don't feel anyone would fancy going down them after leg day training! Cantilevers stretch out some 12 metres from the building which give the whole structure the illusion that it is levitating. The concrete floor slabs are not connected to the perimeter of the building, this gives the glass facade the ability to continue to its full extent. Wellness Sky has become one of the world's most innovative with unrivalled views. The river has become a hotspot of activity and events and the gym provides the perfect place to view them all. You can both view the events and exercise at the same time. They hold a number of fitness programmes which are designed to push you to your very limits, these are:
